Velvet Espresso

'Love Coffee? Love FIRKIN Gin?'

The Velvet Espresso cocktail, the latest from FIRKIN Gin’s collaboration with Oblò Bar, is for coffee lovers! Combining our festive FIRKIN Yuletide with Baileys and Espresso, this recipe is a cocktail to enjoy in the winter months!

Ingredients:
  • 25ml Yuletiae Gin
  • 50ml Baileys
  • Espress Shot

Method:

    1. Shake 25ml FIRKIN Yuletide, 50ml Baileys and Espresso shot together with ice
    2. Double strain into martini glass
    3. Garnish with Coffee Beans

Rhubarb Sour

'Whats With The Sour Face?'

Rhubarb Sour is the newest cocktail from FIRKIN’s collaboration with Eyemouth’s Oblo Bar and Bistro. Made using award-winning FIRKIN original, the cocktail is beautifully finished and tastes as good as it looks. Use the recipe below to try this one at home!

Ingredients:
  • 35ml Whisky Gin
  • 15ml Maraschino
  • 15ml Lime Juice
  • 25ml Egg White
  • 25ml Rhubarb Cordial
  • 25ml Cranberry Juice
  • 5ml Orange Angustura Drops

Method:

  • 1. Add 35ml FIRKIN, 15ml Maraschino, 15ml Lime Juice, 25ml Egg White, 25ml Rhubarb Cordial to a shaker and dry shake.

    2. Add ice and wet shake

    3. Strain into a martini glass.

    4. Add angostura drops and flowers to garnish

    5. Finish by adding 25ml Cranberry Juice

Fragola Cooler

'You Think You're Cooler Than Me?'

The Fragola Cooler is the second cocktail from our new series with Oblo Bar & Bistro. The cocktail uses Port-aged FIRKIN Gin and is perfect for the summer, with key ingredients including strawberries and prosecco.

Ingredients:
  • 50ml Port Gin
  • Sweet Vermouth
  • Strawberries
  • Mint Leaves
  • 15ml Lime Juice
  • 25ml Gomme
  • Prosecco

Method:

  1. Slice some Strawberries and place into a wine glass
  2. Add Sweet Vermouth, 25ml Gomme and 15ml Lime Juice
  3. Mix it all together
  4. Add a scoop of ice
  5. Pour in 50ml of Port FIRKIN Gin
  6. Top up the glass with ice
  7. Finish with Prosecco
  8. Garnish with a strawberry and some mint leaves

Oblo Sling

'Give This Sling A Shot'

The Oblo Sling is the third cocktail from recent series with Oblò Bar & Bistro. The cocktail is based upon the limited-edition FIRKIN Port and with flavours such as Passionfruit is perfect for the summer months.

Ingredients:
  • 25ml Port Gin
  • 25ml Limoncello
  • 10ml Lemo Juice
  • 25ml Passion Fruit Syrup
  • 15ml Gomme
  • Soda
  • 3 Bar Spoons of Port to finish

Method:

  1. Put some ice into a tall glass
  2. Add 25ml Gin, 25ml Limoncello, 25ml Passionfruit Syrup, 10ml Lemon Juice and 25ml Gomme.
  3. Stir well and top up with ice
  4. Add soda and stir again
  5. Garnish with Lemon wheel
  6. Finish with 3 bar spoons of FIRKIN Port

Classic FIRKIN Cocktail

Based on the classic champagne cocktail.

Ingredients:
  • One cube of brown sugar
  • Two drops of Angostura Bitter
  • FIRKIN Gin
  • Dry Sparkling Riesling
  • Orange peel
Pour the gin until you cover the sugar. Top up with the dry sparkling Riesling. Garnish with orange peel (rolled).

FIRKIN Gin & Tonic (F&T)

Ingredients:
  • 50ml Firkin Gin
  • Bottled tonic water
  • Cubed ice
  • Orange slice or wedge
Fill a chilled glass with cubed ice. Then add the Firkin Gin. Top off with tonic water to taste. Garnish with a twist (or wedge) of orange.

FIRKIN Negroni

Ingredients:

  • 35ml Firkin Gin
  • 35ml Rede Vermouth
  • 35ml Campari Bitters
  • Cubed ice
  • Orange slice or wedge
Mix all the liquid components together in a heavy-bottomed tumbler with ice.  Then stir. Garnish with a slice (or wedge) of orange.

FIRKIN Sour

  • 50ml Firkin Gin Original
  • 25ml fresh lemon juice
  • 15ml sugar syrup
  • 1 egg white
Shake the ingredients together three times:
  1. First, dry shake (without ice)
  2. The wet shake (with ice)
  3. Finally strain the liquid before giving it another dry shake
  4. Serve neat and garnish with a grapefruit zest
